Mud Day

Mud day was organised in school on 21 August 2015 where students made different objects using mud.It was done to make them aware about how objects were made  in early ages.

Who we are

Central Idea : Every day I learn more about who I am and what I can do.

“Show and Tell”:- Student showed pictures to the class and describes the people and event.

MIRROR, MIRROR ON THE WALL: During sing along session of rhyme "I have a little nose", students stood in front of the mirror and  pointed out at the particular body part.


Mirror Painting: Kids made their self portrait while looking at the mirror.












Formative Assessment


·  I know me Booklet : Student made me booklet and paste objects and pictures that described them.
















                              LOI 2 : My likes and dislikes.       
Favorite Day: Favorite day was celebrated in class.Student's brought their favorite food and toy.They wore their favorite dress  on that day.
























Smile Please: Collaboratively Student's and teacher listed down some of the items which they like or dislike. After that a student picked up a smiley to express his/her like or dislike for the named item.
















                           FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT

MY LIKE AND DISLIKE FLAG: Students expressed their likes and dislikes by pasting pictures of the things they like on green color flag and things they dislike on red color flag















LOI 3 : How I am growing and changing.

TIMELINE: Teacher and students collaboratively created timeline  to demonstrate their journey from birth till present.











BABY WALK: Students crawled like baby to understand change in their walking style.















STW: Students  compared their bodies with animals to record similarities and differences.















MEASURING CHARTS:
 Teacher and students measured heights and recorded in a log. Student regularly visited to measurement corner and observe  changes in their height.

How Tall Am I? :  Teacher and student’s measured heights and recorded in a log. Kids also compared  their heights with their seniors to observe how we grow and change.

Students demonstrated their understanding of the central idea through mirror talk.
