Prior Knowledge: Draw what they see during day time and night time

Using artefacts students identify different type of seasons

Learning Engagements

Students learnt concept of movement of earth through ball and torch.

How the Day and Night looks: Students arranged different pictures of night and day activities and paste day activities on sunny side

and night activities on dark side.

Weather Clock: The teacher displayed a calendar in class using flash cards of different weather. The students then observe

the weather each day and changes the flash cards accordingly.

Winter Party

Students learnt about winter season and celebrated winter time in class.

Where do animals go in winter: Students learnt about animal hibernation.

Students learnt about taking care of themselves in order to remain healthy during seasonal changes.

Fruits Party

Student learnt about seasonal fruits through fruits party.

Nature Walk: Students went for a nature walk in school garden to observe the changes in leaves and flowers during different seasons.

FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT: 

Students demonstrated about seasonal changes in trees through thumb painting.

Day and Night cycle-Students demonstrated their understanding about concept of day and night through graphic

Organizer.

Season Cycle- Students engage in making season cycle

Web Diagram

Students learnt about different objects(food items, clothes, artefacts etc)  found in different seasons by making a web diagram.

Summative Assessment: 

Seasons Corner

Students assembled the props of different seasonal objects and made seasons corner and explained about it.
